Sculptural forms made from found and discarded materials. Collage guides assembly: fragments are layered and joined so materials dictate composition, texture and form. Surfaces show traces of prior use paint, rust, print, creases creating rhythm and contrast. Joints are often visible, highlighting process.
Each piece is an improvisation. Objects are selected for their shape, weight and history, then juxtaposed to create tensions of scale, balance and colour. Repetition and variation across the series explore how everyday detritus can achieve presence and poise when recombined. Voids and negative space are considered as actively as mass, allowing light and shadow to participate in the work.
The resulting sculptures resist neat categorisation: they read as artefacts of accumulation, memory and repair, while also functioning as formal studies in line, plane and gesture. By privileging found material and intuitive assembly, the work foregrounds sustainability, chance and the visible life of objects.
